WORK EXPERIENCE:
Software Development Intern (Co-op) XOP Networks, Dallas May 2015 - Dec 2015
Project 1. Web Conferencing application
Enabled open source Ultra VNC on a Web Conferencing application. Used Ruby on Rails, Javascript/AJAX, HTML5 and CSS3 for the
User Interface.
Enhanced it to make remote desktop connection simpler and more secure by providing a single-click connection establishment
through an access code.
Enabled third-party licensing. Optimized database queries for existing features.
Project 2. Developed REST APIs for an advanced single-click group conferencing Android application called Call Bridge.
Project 3. Designed and developed the initial POC of a VoIP conferencing web app using Javascript which consumes Twilio APIs.
Software Engineer Mindteck India Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore Dec 2010 – June 2014
Chromatography Data Software(CDS): Control different chromatography systems, processes and analyses their data
Project 1. Sample Set Generator (SSG) plugin for CDS (Team size - 12)
Developed SSG, to automate the creation of sample sets of different chromatography systems using CSV files and generate reports.
Removes manual intervention, human errors and saves time. Technologies used Java, XML and XSD
Developed UI Framework for common look and feel. Followed MVC architecture and implemented Design Patterns such as
Factory, Singleton, Strategy etc. and provided extensible architecture for future releases.
Collaborated with client for design documents, UI prototyping and providing proof of concept and weekly demos
Project 2. Instrument Control Software (Device driver) (Team size - 6)
Developed device drivers for chromatography systems as plugins to CDS using VC++, COM and XML parsing.
Proposed and developed a multithreaded ICS simulation software in Java for internal use to allow multiple developers to access a
chromatography system at a time removing the restriction of one-to-one connection between ICS and chromatography system.
Work Achievements:
Proposed the Agile development process in the team and set up Redmine for sprint planning and task tracking.
Provided Technical training to a team of 5 new developers.
