To Whom It May Concern:
My name is Tom Welters and I retired after more than 32 years of experience with
PepsiCo in their Frito-Lay division as a Director of Sales. I am writing on behalf of
Ashley Loftus, who I worked with from July, 2007 through November, 2010.
As a Director of Sales in the Minneapolis area, I supervised a number of District Sales
Managers, and Ashley was one of the most dedicated, hardworking and most valuable
team players that I had the pleasure to work with at Frito-Lay. Ashley managed a team of
10-15 Salespeople and led them to hit their Sales & Expenses plan as well as develop
their selling skills and some even to Leadership roles.
Ashley also was very involved in helping develop a “can do” attitude within her peer
group. She did this in numerous ways, most notably leading by example and never
backing down from tough challenges.
I think Ashley’s greatest achievement in her career at Frito-Lay was developing our Toys
for Tots campaign through her connections with the Marine Corp. Ashley worked with
our Customers, Operations team, our entire Minneapolis Sales team and the Marine Corp
to set a National Standard template on how to maximize the distribution of toys for
children in need during the Christmas Holiday Season. The results were unprecedented
at the time filling semi-trucks full of toys. The process Ashley developed is still a
National Standard today at Frito-Lay, that is what I call making a difference!
I couldn’t be more proud of her accomplishments during her tenure. Her dedication,
attitude and work ethic would make Ashley a valuable addition to any work place. I
would be glad to answer any questions about Ashley or her work with Frito-Lay. I can be
reached directly at tom.w.welters@gmail.com or phone 763-350-1672.
Sincerely,
Tom Welters
