Dear Admissions Committee,
I am pleased and honored to have this opportunity to write a letter in support of Ashley Smith’s
application. Ashley is a student in my Human Biology II (BIO 132) class at SUNY Broome Community
College. This class is a rigorous and challenging course in human anatomy and physiology. Ashley is
working very hard to be successful, and I am impressed with her positive attitude and desire to succeed.
I have found Ashley to be industrious, intelligent, polite, motivated and very pleasant. She has excellent
attendance and asks insightful questions in the lecture and in the laboratory portions of the course.
Ashley is enthusiastic about learning and works well with other students in the laboratory. She is always
on time, prepared for class and makes good use of her class and lab time. Ashley’s positive attitude and
professional demeanor set an excellent example for the other students in the class.
Ashley is obviously excited about learning and dedicated to her studies. Ashley came to me at the
beginning of our BIO 132 class and asked for some tips on how she could improve her study strategies. I
am impressed with the way that she is working on perfecting her study strategies and techniques. Her
persistence and willingness to keep trying are admirable.
Although I have not worked with Ashley for very long, I can see that she is passionate about a career in
health care and that she is willing to work very hard to achieve her goal. Ashely has good
communication skills, is approachable, and very kind. I think she has the qualities necessary to be a
successful health care professional. I have thoroughly enjoyed my interactions with Ashley, and I am
certain that she will be successful in her future endeavors.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Musa, PhD
