I have been asked by Jennifer Shaffer to write this letter of recommendation. Jenny is a student
in my Physics II class this year. This is her second full year of physics, I previously had her for
college preparatory physics I.
As a fairly new teacher, I am well aware of the stresses that college can impose on a student. In
my opinion, in order for a student to be successful in college they must be well-rounded and be
able to balance a myriad of different subjects at the same time. Therefore, responsibility is of
the utmost importance for any student aspiring to be successful in his/her college or university.
I can honestly state with the greatest confidence that Jenny possesses all of these
characteristics and is one of the best students that I have had the opportunity to teach.
Jenny has shown great independence and perseverance in my class. I amextremely impressed
with her work ethic and her ability to problem solve. For a student who is planning on taking
physics courses at the collegiate level, the ability to think critically will be of absolute
importance and I believe that Jenny will not disappoint. Aside from her success in my class, she
is involved in a multitude of activities that force her to balance many subjects while still
maintaining a high standard of academic achievement. She is involved in such activities as the
National Honor Society, concert band, and marching bands, which all show a high degree of
devotion to her school. Being able to be a great student and maintain a high standard of
academic achievement while being involved in so many different activities is phenomenal and
in my opinion, shows the amount of determination that she possesses.
jenny is a tremendous person and student. She has my full recommendation and I know that
she will be extremely successful at your institution. I know that she will work hard and display
the necessary leadership skills, people skills, and academic fortitude to obtain her be successful
in all that she decides to undertake.
