The student learned how to use InDesign, Blogger, Photoshop, and other digital tools while creating their magazine. They found Blogger and Photoshop easier to use than InDesign. Through the project, the student expanded their photo editing skills in Photoshop and learned how to share materials through websites like SlideShare and Blogger, becoming both a creator and consumer of digital media.

new technologies from the
process of creating this
product?

2. During the stages of creating my
magazine I have learned how to use
InDesign and Blogger as I wasn’t
already aware of how to use these at
all before hand. I also developed my
knowledge of Photoshop.

3. We were shown as a class how to use
InDesign and it was shown to us in
order to make our Articles more
professional. I found it extremely
difficult to use therefore I chose to
stick to photo shop and created my
article through that.

4. Before starting I thought Blogger was
going to be extremely difficult and
hard to use however once I got over
the obstacle of creating my page and
designing the layout, the rest of it was
extremely straight forward.

5. I expanded my knowledge on photo
shop as I was only really able to do
the basics however I learned how to
properly airbrush, filling in, cleaner
erasing, blurring edges ect. These
skills are what allowed me to create
images to a high standard expected in
the magazine industry.

6. I also created a slide share presentation
to put on my blog as a new way of
showing research. Using websites such
as Slide Share and Blogger meant I
became a Prosumer, meaning I created
the product whilst also being a consumer
of digital media. My work is no longer
just between me, the teacher and the
examiner but all of my research and final
products are online for the entire world
to see.
