2. Projects:
1. Edge Device (Android Platform): This is an android based project. This device records
images, analyze those images and upload images to the cloud. I was part of the
module design team, this team finalized the design. I have worked on the camera
module and WIFI module. For camera module USB camera integration to android board
is done with all the supported functionalities, this is done using v4l2 (Video for Linux 2).
WIFI module communicates to another android based app (Designed by our team
only). WIFI module takes instruction in the form of commands from the configuration
device (Based on android app) over TCP and perform actions according to commands, it
redirects commands to appropriate module, for example to start streaming or to set
the camera parameters it redirects commands to camera module through media
manager module. I have designed the test cases for camera module and WIFI module
and tested them. WIFI module is also responsible for creating the connection to the
available WIFI connection to upload the images on the cloud. After creating the
connection, it informs the Upload, Manage module to upload the images on the cloud.
This project is still in progress.
2. HTTP LIVE STREAMING (HLS): This project is currently on hold. HLS allows us to send
both audio and video from an ordinary web server. HLS supports both live streaming
and prerecorded streams. HTTP Live Streaming supports multiple alternate streams at
different bit rates, and the client software can switch streams intelligently as network
bandwidth changes.
Currently planning and designing various APIs and basic implementation of the HLS. It’s
a part to provide support for adaptive bitrate streaming.
3. MPEG2TS Muxer : This muxer generates transport streams from given streams for
transmission by multiplexing those streams, Added new features in the existing muxer
like insertion of tables , added error handling etc.
Developed Test application and Unit test Application for testing the above multiplexer.
I have generated test cases and configuration files for the testing and tested the
MPEG2TSM and done the error handling.
4. TS_Streamer : This streamer analyzes the transport stream by demultiplexing and then
again remux them and stream out for transmission. Added some new features, made
the streamer automated.
To develop this streamer I have used the multiplexer and demultiplexer applications.
Generated the test cases for the streamer and tested.
5. Audio codec : Worked on audio acceptance module for audio codec, it is used to test
the various functionalities of the audio codecs.
3. Academic Projects
Mtech major project: Controller Placement In Software Defined Data Center Network.
This Project was to decide the number of Controllers required and assigning the
switches to the controllers dynamically in Defined Data Center Network.
Other projects:
1. Project on text classification.
2. A web based LAB registration and maintenance system.
3. Online Banking System.
