Letter of Recommendation for Arthur VU
To whom it may concern:
It is with great pleasure that I write this letter in support of Arthur Vu.
I met Arthur in the “Chinese Language and Business Semester” of the Undergraduate Programme of
International Business at ESSCA School of Management, Shanghai. During his experience in the People’s
Republic of China, Arthur has proven curiosity, determination and efficiency. I have been able to witness his
skills first hand. He is a young man with an eagerness to learn. Thanks to his management and organisation
skills Arthur regularly led his groups to very good results. His educational record is a testament to his drive, his
ability to focus and his research skills.
Throughout the semester, students engage in a Business Game and act as real-world consultants. During this 5-
months student-competition, each group has to create an original and sustainable business plan for a company
in Shanghai; Arthur and his group performed very well.
Arthur is analytically strong. I also supervised his performance for a module entitled ‘Chinese Economy and
Monetary System’. During this course he displayed an ability to efficiently delegate duties to group members in
order to reach the team’s goals in completing a project. He showed a result-orientated work ethic that will be
very useful in any future assignments.
Arthur took advantage of his semester and immersed himself into a dynamic and fast-paced market place,
understanding the local culture and analysing the Chinese way of doing business. Thanks to the classes at
ESSCA, he enjoyed the opportunity to compare Asian cultures and to scrutinize the economic success of this
region.
Arthur is a very motivated and capable young person with a keen interest in international business. He is
quickly grasping complex subjects and relates them to practical problem solving in every situation. Being an apt
project-leader he always remains curious and comes up with creative solutions. I believe he will continue to
excel within many fields as he has done in my class.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further questions regarding Arthur VU’s candidacy.
Yours sincerely,
Maximilian RECH
