within the Miami Lakes Educational Center & Technical College, a Magnet School specializing in the Cambridge Dual
Enrollment Program, vocational/technical certifications, and college preparatory courses.
Delivered intensive reading instruction in preparing students for the Florida Comprehensive Achievement Test and
the new Florida Standards Assessment. Served as a Reading Tutor during several summer sessions, with a focus on
FCAT Preparatory inter-sessions at the Educational Center & Technical College and Senior High School.
Contributed to the Miami Lakes Educational Center and Technical College receiving an “A” rating from

Created French Language Advanced Placement program/class as a Foreign Language Department Head at
Miami Edison Senior High (1992-2003), achieving 92% overall passing rate with Haitian Creole-speaking
students throughout 11-year period.
Achieved 65.4% passing rate on Florida Comprehensive Achievement Test for 2015 through preparing
students thoroughly as a Reading Instructor at the Miami Lakes Educational Center & Technical College (overall
passing rate of 41% against the school district’s passing rate of 9%).
Handled student disciplinary problems effectively as Assistant Dean for Discipline for grades 11 and 12
over a 2-year period (during extended periods of time when Assistant Principals were off-campus).
Provided comprehensive, dedicated instruction for all students and enjoyed numerous individual success
stories over a 20+- year period.
I.E. Instructed high school senior student from Argentina with below-level reading and writing skills.
