2. 1 INT. COLLEGE RECEPTION. MORNING 9:03AM
VANILLE CLAREMONT (17) is running uneasily but fast
through the college reception’s foyer, stressed and
panicked. VANILLE’S makeup is absent from her face. Her
high heels echo from the ground as her denim jacket wavers
just like her simply done up amber hair. Her handbag rocks
around under her firm right hand grasp. A golden necklace
swings from beneath her floral blouse. As she approaches a
student she grabs their immediate attention away from
their group conversation.
VANILLE CLAREMONT (V/O)
Last year I began dreaming
peoples death. I wish that’s all
it was. but instead I foreshadow
people’s death. Before they
happen...
As VANILLE finishes asking the student the question they
answer her. We don’t hear any of this dialogue. She takes
off again down the direction of a corridor. Her white
silver earrings shake a little. Each earring is of a lone
feather. VANILLE reaches some classrooms and wades through
each of their double doors. Looking for someone only to
find their absence.
VANILLE CLAREMONT (V/O) (cont’d)
So far I have 11 foreshadowed
people’s deaths one at a time. So
far 11 people have died.
VANILLE continues to run down the corridor through another
set of double doors and approaches a group of students
this time. They turn to face her.
VANILLE CLAREMONT (V/O) (cont’d)
After the second person died I
saved the third person I dreamt
about. Someone else died that day
instead.
VANILLE runs off after asking them the question. The
question still unknown to the audience. She runs into the
classrooms at the end of the corridor. She rushes out of
the classrooms after running into each one. She turns and
start running back to the reception.
VANILLE CLAREMONT (V/O) (cont’d)
I saved the fourth person I
dreamt about. Someone else died
there on that day. I then
realized that I now live a moral
compass. I have to choose between
two people.
(CONTINUED)
3. CONTINUED: (2) 2.
VANILLE continues to run down the corridor passing the
people she’s already asked the question. They stare a
little and track her with their eyes as she passes them.
VANILLE CLAREMONT (V/O) (cont’d)
My best friend believes me.
Someone actually believes me.
She’s been able to help me, with
the moral issues and guilt I’ve
gone through every time someone
was going to die.
VANILLE runs hastily and more uneasily straight into the
coffee shop at the college. She looks around quickly.
Still the absence of her friend continues. She runs out
the way she came.
VANILLE CLAREMONT (V/O) (cont’d)
She’s been the only help in all
of this and now I may lose her.
VANILLE runs out to the main reception and looks for her
best friend once more. VANILLE looks around frustrated and
worried. There is panic in her eyes.
VANILLE CLAREMONT (V/O) (cont’d)
Last night I dreamt my best
friends death. I dreamt
Clarissa’s death.
VANILLE turns around and looks out through the front
reception. Through the large class windows into the road.
Staring into the expanse of the world. A car pulls up and
a female college student gets out, closes the door and
walks up to the college entrance. VANILLE stares at the
female college student in shock and relief.
VANILLE CLAREMONT (V/O) (cont’d)
There she is. My best friend...
VANILLE CLAREMONT
... Clarissa
VANILLE runs over to CLARISSA as she comes into the
college reception area and pulls her immediately into a
hug.
VANILLE CLAREMONT (cont’d)
Thank god you’re okay. You’re
here.
CLARISSA is taken aback by this and gently pulls herself
free from VANILLE and looks at her worried and confused.
CLARISSA ARGENTUM
What is it Vanille? Whats wrong?
(CONTINUED)
4. CONTINUED: (3) 3.
VANILLE CLAREMONT
It happened, I dreamt someones
death.
CLARISSA ARGENTUM
Okay, um we need to talk
somewhere. Okay?
VANILLE nods her head slowly and follows CLARISSA as she
takes off down the nearest corridor.
QUICK FADE TO BLACK
2 INT. EMPTY CLASSROOM. MORNING 9:10 AM
CLARISSA is standing against a table as VANILLE is pacing
around in the room in front of her. VANILLE remains silent
as she does so whilst CLARISSA is slowly tapping her knee
with a silent tune.
CLARISSA ARGENTUM
Who was it Vanille? Who’s going
to die?
VANILLE CLAREMONT
I dunno if I can say... It’ll
change everything...
VANILLE slowly breaks down in front of CLARISSA and leans
against a wall for support as she stares at CLARISSA.
CLARISSA ARGENTUM
No... It can be... Who is it?! My
mom? Dad? My little sister?
VANILLE slowly begins to cry as she stares at CLARISSA who
is looking back at her.
CLARISSA ARGENTUM (cont’d)
(Continued, Frustrated)
Who is it Vanille? Who’s going to
die?!
As CLARISSA says this she takes a few quick steps to
VANILLE closing the distance between them.
VANILLE CLAREMONT
You, it’s you Clarissa!
CLARISSA ARGENTUM
No... No no no no no.
CLARISSA is shocked and takes a few steps back. Restoring
the distance between them.
(CONTINUED)
5. CONTINUED: (2) 4.
VANILLE CLAREMONT
I’m sorry. I’m so sorry...
Silence fills the room as they both freeze, shocked by
what has happened and what is going to happen. Minutes
pass CLARISSA eventually composes herself and stares at
the floor.
CLARISSA ARGENTUM
What happened... What’s going to
happen to me?
VANILLE CLAREMONT
I don’t know fully... You didn’t
move and... You get hit by a car.
Here... Today...
CLARISSA ARGENTUM
You mean I won’t get a chance to
see my family again?
VANILLE CLAREMONT
Yeah... Something like that.
VANILLE and CLARISSA slowly look up at each other.
CLARISSA ARGENTUM
I guess there’s nothing we can do
then? I’m going to...
VANILLE CLAREMONT
No you’re not. We’re going to
save you Clarissa. I can’t let
you die after everything we’ve
been through.
CLARISSA ARGENTUM
Won’t someone else die instead of
me?
VANILLE remains silent for a moment before answering.
VANILLE CLAREMONT
But it’s you Clarissa. We
can’t...
CLARISSA ARGENTUM
So we need to let someone else
die? Isn’t that just breaking
every moral issue we’ve had to
deal with over the past few
months?
VANILLE CLAREMONT
Yeah but loosing you is going to
break me!
(CONTINUED)
6. CONTINUED: (3) 5.
CLARISSA is emotionally broken by this and rushes to
VANILLE and gives her a hug.
CLARISSA ARGENTUM
It’ll break me if I let someone
else die though... You know that
Vanille. You know that I can’t
let someone else get hurt.
CLARISSA pulls back from VANILLE but rests her hands on
VANILLE’s shoulders at arms length.
CLARISSA ARGENTUM (cont’d)
(Continued)
I get to know that I’m going to
die, Isn’t that better than what
most people get? I get to say
goodbye to my friends, my family,
you. I have to do this Vanille.
You know this.
VANILLE and CLARISSA both tear up.
CLARISSA ARGENTUM (cont’d)
(Continued)
I know you don’t want me to this,
but I need to do this. I need to
be brave. I need to accept my
fate.
CLARISSA takes her hands away and wipes her eyes.
CLARISSA ARGENTUM (cont’d)
(Continued.)
I need you to promise me
something.
VANILLE CLAREMONT
Anything.
CLARISSA ARGENTUM
I need you to promise me that you
wont try to stop me today. Don’t
stop me from dying.
VANILLE CLAREMONT
Okay... I won’t.
VANILLE grabs CLARISSA and pulls her into another hug as
she cries. After VANILLE lets go of CLARISSA turns around
and goes to pick up her bag. CLARISSA turns back to
VANILLE.
CLARISSA ARGENTUM
Thank you for everything.
(CONTINUED)
7. CONTINUED: (4) 6.
CLARISSA turns back around and leaves the room, closing
the door on her way out. VANILLE remains in there frozen.
Motionless.

6 EXT. OUTSIDE THE FRONT OF COLLEGE, ROAD. 9:22AM
VANILLE makes her way outside the college slowly as she
walks taking in everything she can see. The road is
recovering from rush hour traffic. Dog walkers are
chatting on the field across the road. A man across the
road is getting out of his car onto the pavement. A group
of college students walk past her obscuring her view for a
brief moment. A student walks down the pavement from the
other side of the road looking for a gap to cross. VANILLE
turns again to see the man across the road beginning to
walk his dog. She then remembers her dream.

(This scene is slow motion until further notice) As
VANILLE realises what is about to happen. the college
student begins to cross the road hastily and he trips up
in the road and falls to the ground and he looks up and
see’s a car slam on its brakes. The man walking his dog
walks in the same direction as she saw in her
foreshadowing dream. VANILLE turns around to see CLARISSA
run past her, steadfast and willing. As CLARISSA reaches
the road she grabs the college student and shoves them
back in between the two cars stumbling down as she does
so. VANILLE looks at her shocked and frozen.
VANILLE CLAREMONT
(Scraming)
Nooo Clarissa!
CLARISSA stand up quickly and looks at VANILLE.
CLARISSA ARGENTUM
(Whisper)

The car brakes pierces through the air. (Slow motion stops
after the transition.
FADE TO BLACK
VANILLE is running over to CLARISSA who is laying on the
ground facing away from VANILLE, her clothes are tattered,
ripped and motionless. VANILLE reaches CLARISSA and drops
to her kness on the other side of CLARISSA to face her. As
VANILLE drops to the ground, CLARISSA opens her eyes and
looks up at VANILLE.
CLARISSA ARGENTUM (cont’d)

(Crying)
No I won’t... I can’t do this
without you.
CLARISSA ARGENTUM
(Faintly)
You will. You’ll always be
okay... You can do this without
me.
VANILLE continues to cry as she breaks down. CLARISSA
reaches out with her left hand and pulls out a letter from
her interior jacket pocket. She hands it to VANILLE.
VANILLE CLAREMONT
Clarissa... You’re not going to
die today.
CLARISSA ARGENTUM
For when I’m gone.
VANILLE CLAREMONT
No, no no no no you can’t go. Not
today please Clarissa.
CLARISSA ARGENTUM
Its okay. Its okay. It’ll be okay
Vanille.
VANILLE CLAREMONT
Its not okay. You’re the best
friend I’ll ever have. I can’t
lose you.
CLARISSA ARGENTUM
I’m sorry... Goodbye Vanille...
CLARISSA’s hand drops to the floor and she remains
motionless. Eyes still wide open. A group of staff come
running out of the college entrance and is shocked by what
has happened. One of them leaves the group and approaches
VANILLE who is still with CLARISSA whilst the other two
teachers start to clear everyone away from the area. A
final staff member comes out and helps the shocked student
(who was saved by CLARISSA) up and takes them inside.
VANILLE the whole time has been crying whilst looking at
her best friend. The staff member reaches VANILLE and
crouches down. She reaches out and goes to close
CLARISSA’s eye lids. VANILLE is shocked when she notices
the hand reaching out.

VANILLE CLAREMONT

have to stay with her.

VANILLE CLAREMONT
I said no, okay!
STAFF MEMBER
(Adamant)
There’s nothing you can do for
her now. It wasn’t you fault. You
are in no way responsible for
this. Okay?
VANILLE begins to break down and holds onto CLARISSA.
FADE TO BLACK.
9 CREDITS SCENE? NOT SURE IF CREDITS GO IN ON THE SCRIPT.
Also Sean I know that I need to speak to you about what
teachers would actually do in that situation to try and
make it realistic. So that needs improving in my first
draft.
