This is to certify that Mr. Arka Banerjee, student of B. Sc. Economics, Presidency University, Kolkata ; has
successfully completed his Internship with Himalayan Ecotourism from the 1st

in the year 2015.
His tasks were to participate in :
-- Creating business structures and plans for two for-profit nascent social enterprises: Himala-
yan Ecotourism and Himalayan Eco-Creations,
-- Creating marketing plans for the products of the same two enterprises,
-- Mobilising women from villages in Banjar, Himachal Pradesh to form Self-Help Groups and
launch their micro-enterprise,
-- Empowering the women by training them in managing several aspects of their business, and
-- Training the local tour-guides who are a part of HET as group leaders in the co-operative, in
business structures and management.
I highly recommend him for his commitment and resourcefulness while working for the setting-up of
micro-enterprises in rural areas.
