1. 11th grader missing from school hostel
An 11th grader at the Little Angel´s School based in Satdobato of Lalitpur district has gone
missing from the school hostel for the last nine days but police are still clueless about his
whereabouts.
The missing student has been identified as Shamshad Alam Ansari, 17, of Birgunj of Parsa
district. He had been living in the school hostel since the last six months. According to the school
administration, Ansari, a science student, had gone missing since the midnight of December 15.
"He had gone to bed at about 11 pm with his friends, but at about 5 pm we found that he was
missing," LP Chauhan, principal of the school, said. Neither the security guards who are on duty
round-the-clock at the hostel gate nor his room partners have any hint about his disappearance,
Chauhan added.
Recalling the performance of the student, Chauhan informed that Ansari was a brilliant student
and had no reasons to escape from school.
Although police have launched a search operation they have not been able to get any clue about
him. "We have intensified our search on the basis of the details obtained from his friends,
teachers and his parents," DSP Toran Karki, the in-charge of the Metropolitan Police Circle
Office, Satdobato said.
During police interrogation, some of his close friends have shared that Ansari would frequently
complain about being forced by the family into studying science. They said Ansari had also
expressed his desire to go to India for study.
"We could not confirm that he went to India as he had no money to meet his travel travel
expenses. Also, he has not even logged on to his Facebook account and has not contacted any
family member or relatives in India," School´s principal Chauhan added.
