This symbol is normally
accompanied by the year
and the artists name. It is
the copyright symbol and it
indicates the copyright of
the lyrics and music on the
album
3. THE ‘P’
This symbol is normally
accompanied by the artists
name or record label. It
indicates the copyright of
sound recordings.
4. THE OTHER ‘C’
This same copyright symbol
which is normally placed
near the artwork or
photographs on the
digipak and accompanied
by the year and artist name
is for the protection of any
artwork or photography
taken for the digipak
5. THE BARCODE
This is the barcode and its
usually located near the
bottom of the page. The
barcode allows the
distributors to track the sales
of the album.
6. PUBLISHING INFORMATION
• This is located at the bottom of the back of the digipack. It’s just there to show who
the music’s ownership rights belong to and it also has some sort of legal protection
in the sense that if your name isn’t on it you don’t get paid and you can’t sue them.
They usually always put “All rights reserved. Unauthorized duplication is a violation
of applicable laws”
