2. What do we have in mind?
For our music video, both Jyoti & I have similar
ideas for what our actress is going to look like.
Contrasting locations and thus contrasting
outfits will be used, to depict how the actress is
feeling; this is all going to revolve around 1
prominent theme running throughout the video
which is the breakdown of a relationship.
When Jyoti & I came together to discuss ideas of
how the actress will look in general and in each
location, we came up with the following ideas...

3.  As we are hoping to show 2 sides of the
relationship we thought it would be a good
idea to show this through contrasting
clothing outfits, as I have already mentioned.
In our Pitch (link is below), we said how the
performance shots of the actress would
oppose the storyline shots, but eventually the
performance shots would deteriorate, in
terms of clothing, makeup etc. As the
performance shots get worse, a link would be
made with the background and setting; it
gradually gets darker, into the evening time.

4.  The contrasting shots will be made up of the
following 2 ideas;
1) A prim, proper, professional (business
woman-like) outfit that depicts the actress
as an established, sophisticated women who
is happy and comfortable with her life and
where it is taking her
2) A grungy, rebellious, rough outfit that
depicts the actress as someone who doesn’t
have their thoughts together, let alone their
life. She doesn’t have a care in the world for
anything and is slightly away with her
thoughts

5. Contrasting idea #1
 To make sure this first idea is effective and can be taken seriously, I
have inserted a few images below to show how we would execute
such a theme.

 From the images on the previous slide, you
can see that the actress would ideally be
styled neatly and tidily, while remaining
happy and having positive facial expressions.
 Her clothes would be ironed and her makeup
would be minimal yet effective.
 All of these factors added together would
show an impressive women who has her life
together

 To make sure this first idea is effective and can be taken seriously
too, I have inserted a few images below to show how we would
execute such a theme.

 In contrast to the first idea, this second theme will be very
different; the actress is going to be dressed in a rough
manner to show the effect the relationship on her life.
 Depending on her clothing, bits of it could be ripped
especially if she wears tights or deliberately made dirty like
jeans to show her careless spirit.
 Her clothes would deliberately be creased to show how
messy she is, but also the lack of access she has to basic
necessities.
 Her makeup would be very strong, but also messy to keep
bringing in the theme of a broken down relationship; her
appearance and the aesthetic appeal it used to have
wouldn’t matter to her anymore.
