To whom this may concern,
Ms. April Devitt was employed from May 2013 – September 2015 by EllisDon on
the Ottawa Light Rail project, holding the position of Project Co coordinator.
During her time on the project she was a direct report to myself.
It is my opinion that April would make an excellent addition to any heavy civil
construction team. She has shown proficiency in project cost controls, project
planning and execution, and project scheduling. She is able to coordinate project
quality control requirements well, and has a solid grasp of standard specifications
and drawings. She has also proven to be proficient as a direct supervisor and
mentor to junior team members. April is a safety champion, ensuring all regulations
and policies are adhered to.
April is very resourceful and tenacious, she is willing to take on complex problems
and finds innovative solutions that others may have missed. She has a very
methodical and innovative approach to problem solving that has proven valuable to
the construction team on many occasions. She integrates well into the team and is a
solid contributor to group tasks.
I would not hesitate to recommend Ms. Devitt, I have every confidence she will
prove to be an exemplary addition to any team.
