Elizabeth Iserhoff is a counselor who has worked with Finding Our Way facility and its director, April Carrier. She found their services to be very positive, with a good relationship built and individualized care plans and programs tailored to each client's needs. Teleconferences allowed her clients to receive services in needed areas. Reports and assessments were provided on time and concerns were addressed promptly. The aftercare program was detailed and all service providers were involved to ensure a smooth transition for clients. She maintains a good relationship with April Carrier to this day to help improve services for youth in need of healing support.

throughclientsthat required theirservicesforissuestheywere dealingwith. Thatishow I came to
knowApril Carrierandher staff. My experience workingwithApril andthe staff wasverypositiveand
buildingthatrelationshipthatisso neededwhileworkingtogetherforourclientele. I was pleased with
theirplanof cares, case conferences,individualcounseling aswell as how theyfacilitatedtheir
programswhichwas gearedtoeach individual’sneeds. Throughteleconferenceswe were able toserve
my clientsinthe areasmuchneeded.Theywere veryopen, theirreportsandassessmentswere sendon
time withconcernsbeingaddressedimmediately. Theiraftercare programwasdetailedandoutlineand
all service providerswereinvolvedinteleconference sothattheyunderstoodwhat isneededinorder
for themto continue afterthe discharge of ourclients.
Parentsalsoparticipated throughteleconference , theywere able togodownfor visits andhad the
opportunity tomeet withthe staff andlookat the facilityitself. Ion the otherhand was impressedon
how smoothly the transitionwentinorderforthe clienttocontinue theirhealingpath.
AlthoughIhave longedleftmy positionasacounselorinmyworkplace, I continue maintaincontact
withMrs. Carrierand our relationshipcontinuetothisdaywhichgive usthat opportunityof expanding
whatis neededforouryouthand whatchangesneedtobe made inorderto serve thembetter. Iam
veryfortunate tomeetand knowsomeone like Mrs.Carrier,whoiswillingtogoan extramile sothat
the clientsinourareas will have thatopportunitytostarttheirhealingorcontinue itdependingon
where theymaybe on theirjourney.
