100% capture of the actual data from
the packets on the network.
This is the granular detail into ‘what’
happened. Once you identify where a
problem is, there is no substitute for
having the raw packets when it comes
to understanding the root cause.

This provides insight without requiring
real users to experience and report bad

trends in performance over time to
anticipate bad performance.

where applications are going and what
the effect of the network is on apps
while providing root cause analysis to
proactively tell you what happened.
Who, when, and what application

Sales Engineering manager

I’ve worked with a number of our larger customers with many remote locations, both the physical nature and virtual user perspective, to give the network engineering and Ops teams the insight they need to help isolate network and application events that the users will inevitably complain about
Appneta provides insights at 4 levels.
Flows - help identify what applications are on your network
Network Path - Using L3/4 synthetic monitoring, provide end to end performance analysis to any application, whether you own it or not
Web URL - Front end user experience monitoring
Packets - Run remote packet captures on-demand or scheduled. Typically IT doesnt have the infrastrture in place to run PCAPS without some creative solutions, APM will give you that granular detail from the egde (when your carrier asks you for it)
There are two fundamental changes that are happening at the branch
- first is that where apps live is changing. We’re moving apps out of the data center and into the cloud. Either via migration or adoption of SaaS, apps are moving and that changes
-[CLICK] how we connect. Now that apps are in the cloud traditional backhaul and MPLS architectures don’t make sense for these apps and so networks are changing.

The goal of this is 1. Hopeful crowd interaction and 2. Get the crowd to think about, regardless of how many locations I have, the need for monitoring because of the
But, there’s a problem, customers are deciding that MPLS backhaul strategy doesn’t work if they’re migrating to the cloud–
why backhaul all traffic when everything when a lot of non-latency dependent applications can go direct(to internet)?
I’m sure you’ve heard of SD-WAN. You make this transition because it’s more efficient (Cost, configuration and latency) to go direct to SaaS, but now all of the central visibility is gone–
I bought a monitoring solution to monitor the dc, but that doesn’t work anymore, or it does, but only for some small portion of the overall network.
We can help, we bring back the visibility for the edge and the data center to ensure that you’re 100% covered. Today’s deployments encompass the multi-cloud approach. You may have Voice or other UC tools still hosted on-prem, though I’m sure you have a plan for those applications, but more and more the business important applications are hosted outside of your managed infrastructure.
What does this do to your legacy monitoring? Those tools are great at giving you periodic insight to the routers, switches and server performance. You may have previously sent your netflow traffic from the remote routers back to a central NetFlow solution for traffic analysis.
That insight disappears when you no-longer have access to the internet links and don’t have netflow capabilities on the +1 WAN links coming out of those locations.
AppNeta supplised purpose built physical devices that can monitor wired and wireless + capture the real user packets via a SPAN port.

Here’s how AppNeta does it.
AppNeta allows any combination of MPs and apps in your searches to rapidly isolate and scope problems in the same way you think about your network and application architecture - be that app-based, or location based.
