2. Career & assignment history
IBM Science and
Technology Center /
Zurich Research Lab
(04/2006 - present)
Advisory Software Developer
Prospect IQ
Currently, I work in Cognitive Systems group at IBM Zurich
Research Laboratory. We develop solutions for sales and
consultancy people that help to identify clients and prospect
sales. We use different types of analytics to discover clients’
information from structured and unstructured data and produce
recommendations. My areas of responsibility are general design
and architecture, ETL and data model implementation and UI
design.
Backup Sync and Share
It was an enterprise-level solution for selective data backup and
sharing build around Tivoli Continuous Data Protection, IBM
Connections and Play! Framework. I was in charge of
development file system tracking services and software
installation packages.
ARCA researcher’s portal
It was development of collaboration platform based on IBM
Connections for education sector. The solution covered
processing and recommendation of funding opportunities based
on researchers’ profiles. My areas of responsibility were text
mining, front-end and back-end development and integration. I
also supervised and trained new team members.
Cell BE for consumer electronic devices
It was a gesture recognition system based on a specific IBM
processor (Cell BE). The goal was to recognize hand gestures
without use of any additional equipment (like colored gloves).
Gestures were translated to application specific events, like seek
forward or backward in a media player application. I was
responsible for porting algorithms for the processor and
development of a demo application.
GeoIconics, Russian
Federation (05/2004 -
04/2006)
Software engineer
Photogrammetry tools
Development of photogrammetry software: it was a software
platform for building 3D model of surface using stereo pair
images or video sequences as input. The core of the system was
a gaze tracker. It was a set of windows applications written on
C++. I was responsible for architecture design, implementation of
3. image processing algorithms and application themselves, and
coordination of development team
Siberian Scientific
Research Institute of
Optical Systems,
Russian Federation
(11/2001 – 04/2006)
Software & Hardware Engineer
Rotation Sensor
We developed a high precision (mse <5’’) rotation sensor device
that would become a part of 3D scanner and would measure. I
had in my responsibility architecture design and hardware and
software components implementation.
Before that there was an object tracking system project. It was a
proof of concept for image processing algorithms and specific
hardware optimized for neural network processing. I was
responsible for algorithms design and implementation.
