Textile Artist / Merchandiser at Candlewood Fabrics, New York, New York
Started a print division for a textile company which specialized in knits, woven and Jacquard fabrics, geared for mass-marketed ladies apparel and increased sales to 22 million
dollars from 16 million. Managed a staff of four in-house artists and four freelance textile artists, who created the textile art on paper as samples. This was so successful that it also
inspired collections designed after our hand-painted fabrics. Tommy Hilfiger later commissioned the firm to do hand-painted one-of-a-kind garments that were sold to his down-
town store. Over one million yards of our award-winning fabrics were sold to apparel manufacturers in CA and NY. Extensive travel to Tokyo, Milan, Paris and London to capture
trends and adapt them to the American market.
