2. Uses of Past Simple (Verb To Be)
We can use the past simple of the verb to be to
talk about situations and states in the past.
We were happy yesterday.
I was at my granny's house
yesterday.
We DO NOT use action verbs with was/were in Past
Simple.

3. "WAS"
era/estaba/estuve
I, he, she, it
I was here yesterday.
He was sad.
She was tired after school.
It was sunny last week.

4. "WERE"
eran/estaban/estuvieron/éramos/
estuvimos
we, you, they
We were at school.
You were pretty last night.
They were the winners.

5. Subject + Was/Were + Complement

6. Subject + Was/Were + Not (Wasn't / Weren't) + Complement
