 http://www.hyf.org.uk/

This is the official and only site for the HYF. It has all the previous past year’s information on
there. I found this extremely useful and learnt a lot about the festival that I did not know
 beforehand.

I also noticed that this site is advertised in the local Henley Standard, and social networking sites
 such as Facebook and twitter.

This is the Henley Standard online.

I knew that somewhere in the local paper the HYF would be mentioned, however I did not have
access to last year’s papers at all. I searched online and found several articles on the HYF. I
personally enjoyed reading these articles as I got to read it from someone else perspective.
(Mainly adults/ spectators).

By flicking through and reading these articles I then realised that I should incorporate all the main
aspects parents/ adults like to see in a promotional video rather than just the children.

I found this site by just goggling the ‘HYF’. It was one of the first things to come up on the
internet- so I knew I was a popular site to be one of the top most searched things.

I found a very short news clip on the HYF. I found this really entertaining and it gave me some
inspiration on how I want my video to look.

Once I have completed my video I’m going to upload it to youtube. Youtube is one of the most
successful and entertaining sites out there. Anyone can view your videos you share. I typed in
‘The Henley youth festival’ and numerous videos came up. Many different accounts had ‘HYF’
somewhere in their name , each had different videos of the events.

What I originally wanted to do was to contact the persons account and ask for their permission if
I could use some of their footage as ‘archive footage’ in my final video.

I didn’t necessarily get round to asking as I did not need to as the weather conditions did change
and was sunny for a few days.

The footage also gave me several ideas on how I wanted my final video to look- edgy,
entertaining and fun!!

The youth of today usually have some way of another to access the internet. The internet is so
powerful these days as it’s fast and easy to use. I came across this HYF facebook page while I was
on my own facebook page. I saw that the HYF was being advertised in the side bas of every
facebook page. This is a very persuasive way of introducing others to participate in the upcoming
events of the HYF.
