This document provides examples and practice for using present unreal conditional sentences. It gives two models to memorize: (1) "I wish my son didn't want to be a dentist...If he didn't want to be a dentist, I could convince him to take over my store when I retire" and (2) "I wish the weather weren't going to be cold this weekend...If it weren't going to be cold, I could wear my beautiful new dress." It then provides 6 practice prompts for the reader to complete present unreal conditional sentences following the structure "I wish.../ Why.../ If...,...".
