Adjective Clause Problems
It’s across the street from the
     building my sister lives in.
Main sentence: It’s across the street
         from the building.
Embedded sentence: My sister lives
           in the building.
It’s across the street from (that) the
       building my sister lives in.
                   or
    It’s across the street from the
    building where my sister lives.
 (We can use where because of the
      prepositional phrase in the
         embedded sentence.)
The person I rented my apartment
 from = The person from whom I
     rented my apartment.

Remember that an adjective clause
goes after the noun that it modifies.
Tuesdays and Thursdays are days when
           I have no free time.
     Main sentence: Tuesdays and
           Thursdays are days .
   Embedded: I have no free time on
        Tuesdays and Thursdays.
(I use when because of the preposition
      in the embedded sentence.)
