-Lock Down Fields – RE is a very flexible system. Flexibility is the enemy of data hygiene – just use locked fields with drop-downs-G-d is in the details – train your data entry people to suck every piece of information out of the mail you get. When that donor moves, you will be glad you have their phone number to find them-If it’s not in RE – even if you have a great memory, you aren’t going to remember every detail. Or the charity’s largest donor will call when you are on vacation and someone will need to follow-up. If they have full information, less chance a ball gets dropped
Ban excel spreadsheets – use RE for Gift tables – next slide- Use dashboards – slide in class

-Analytics are a girl’s best friend – they help you ensure you ask the right person for the right amount-Be a Guinea pig – volunteering for new RE tests means early, free access to cool stuff + great supportData hygiene has value – here is how to sell itMost importantly, your boss is likely wrong about how to use RE so persuade them to go to the right method
