12. What can we do as parents?
● Join the Greening Stevenson Committee now forming.
● Volunteer to work for Garden Committee, which is working hard to bring the
Native and Teaching gardens into play.
● Underway: Ask the district to add valves, gates and features to the existing
irrigation to allow for garden expansion in the future.
● Run a safety analysis on playground equipment injuries.
● Advocate for a spider web.
● Work on planning an outdoor kitchen or advocating for a larger teaching
kitchen;perhaps incorporated with expanded garden spaces.
● Address the District’s concerns about injuries and lawsuit exposure.
● Look into data about parity and equity between campus facilities and tree cover in
Mountain View Whisman School District.
