5. 1)Road Tax and Registration
Charge
State governments charge taxes which are outside GST
Different states decided these taxes according to their
own

6. 2)Toll tax
Often you will see that entry from one state to another state
entices its entry tax.
For example, if you enter the border of Maharashtra to
Chhattisgarh, then Municipal Corporation receives this tax.
This tax of Municipal Corporation is for commercial
vehicles.
Similarly, entry tax is imposed in other states as well.

7. 3)Tax on petrol
There are many petroleum products which are excluded from
the purview of GST.
These products include crude oil, aviation turbine fuel,
natural gas, motor spirit and high-speed diesel.
State governments compensate for this by increasing the tax
on petroleum products when GST revenue decreases.

8. 4)Cess on the electricity bill
Cess on electricity bill is not included in GST. Therefore, state
governments impose electricity cess.
State governments also increase electricity cess to increase their
revenue.

9. 5) Stamp duty
Stamp duty is levied on the registry of lands. Stamp
duty is excluded from GST.
Therefore, as before, state governments impose stamp
duty.

10. 6)Entertainment tax
GST levied on cinema tickets
Some state government charges more on cinema tickets and some less
Sometimes, the state governments make a film tax-free, which means
that the state government has waived the tariff imposed on its behalf.
