Conclusion.
3. What is Virtual Reality
Virtual reality means feeling the imaginary,(virtual) world,
Rather than real one.The imaginary world is a simulation running in a
computer.
Virtual Reality is the term used for computer generated 3d
environment that allow the user to enter and interact with alternate
realities.
The definition of ‘virtual’ is near and ‘reality’ is what we experience
as human beings.
4. HISTORY:-
More than one person has been involved in the development
Of this technological system.
In 1950’s visionary cinematography ‘MORTAN HEILIG’ built
a single user called ‘SENSORAMA’.This enabled the user watch
television in 3 dimensional ways.
The first virtual reality was invented in 1968 by IVAN
SUTHERLAND AND BOB SPROULL which was connected to a
computer and not a camera.
5. TYPES OF VIRTUAL REALITY:-
Immersive Virtual Reality
Non-Immersive Virtual Reality
Window on world Virtual Reality
6. IMMERSIVE VIRTUAL REALITY:-
Immersion into virtual reality is a perception of being
physically present in a non-physical world.
Elements of virtual environments that increase the
immersivences of the experience:
1.Continuity of suuroundings.
2.Conformance to human vision.
3.Freedom of movement.
4.Physical interaction.
5. Physical feedback.
7. NON-IMMERSIVE VIRTUAL REALITY:-
It refers to a virtual experience through a computer where you
can control some character or activities within the
software, but the environment is not directly interacting with
you.
Basically , large display, but doesn’t surround the user.
8. WINDOW ON WORLD VIRTUAL REALITY:-
Desktop-based Virtual Reality displaying a 3-dimensional
virtual on regular desktop display without use of any specialized
movement tracking environment.
10. INPUT DEVICES:-
PRIO VR:-They are used as sensors to capture the body
movements and then translate them on-screen in real-time for a
fully immersive version. E.G. RA-ONE MOVIE.
12. INPUT DEVICES:-
CONTROL VR:-It uses a pair of gloves fitted with sensors that
will track every movement of the user’s fingers and translate
them into useable control inputs for software.
14. OUTPUT DEVICES:-
3D AUDIO:- It is the use of binaural sound systems to
capture,process and playback audio waves.
The goal of 3d audio is to provide the listener with an audio
experience that mimics real life.
15. APPLICATION OF VR:-
VIRTUAL REALITY IN MILITARY.
VIRTUAL REALITY IN HEALTHCARE
VIRTUAL REALITY IN EDUCATION
VIRTUAL REALITY IN SCIENTIFIC VISUALIZATION.
VIRTUAL REALITY IN ENTERTAINMENT
16. ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES:-
ADVANTAGES DISADVANTAGES
VR Creates a realistic world. The equipments used in VR are very
expensive.
It enable user to explore places. It consist of complex technology.
VR makes education more easily and
comfart.
In VR environment we can’t move by
our own like in real world.
