Global Neighbours is a school program that recruits volunteers from student families and community networks to help teach lessons comparing the world from 50 years ago to today. The first lessons examine how things have changed since the visitor was 16 by looking at topics like who made common items, available television channels, international relationships, and globalization. Subsequent lessons discuss how people can live fairly and sustainably through politics, lifestyle choices, global citizenship, and local activities. The program aims to bring generations together through intergenerational education and action during Global Neighbours Week.
