platform. Iwas immediatelyinvolvedinalarge scale integritycampaignthatlastedmany
months.Thisinvolvedareatechnicianduties,liaisingandworkingalongsidevendors,
planningandimplementingsubstantial isolations,flushing,purging,breakingcontainment
and large scale pressure testing.Afterthisintense periodhadendedandthe platformwas
againproducing,I am nowinvolvedinoperatingmultiple systemsinvolvingwellbays,oil
separation,crude/gasmetering,boosterandMOL pumps,gascompression,gas

 I startedas a trainee onMurchison withPetrofacsoonafterdecommissioningwas
announced.Isetabout learningmytrade inwhatwas a challengingreducedinvestment
environmentasthe platformapproachedthe endof itsfieldlife. ThisinvolvedATduties,lab
duties,operatingof wellbays,oil separation,crude meteringandexport,gasdehydration,
gas compression,gasliftandwaterinjectionsystems. Oncessationof production,Iwasthen
involvedinanextremelybusystage of the platformslife whichinvolvedalarge scale,
complex, flushingandpurgingcampaigntomake the platformhydrocarbonfree.

2. NOVEMBER 2006-FEBRUARY 2012 Scaffoldingchargehand/temporaryforeman,Murchisonplatform.
 I arrivedonthe Murchisonplatformasa scaffolderworkingforCAPE.Iimmediatelysettled
intothe excellent workingcultureonthe platform.Iwasinitiallytaskedwithlookingaftera
squadof menplanningandbuilding/dismantlingscaffoldssafely toaveryhighstandard.
Salamistookoverthe CNR contract inFebruary2011 so I wasinvolvedinaTUPE transfer
overto them.FromthenI was involvedintemporaryforemandutieswhererequired.This
involvedlookingafteralarge volume of scaffolders ensuringthattheyare workingsafely,
workplanning,creatingpermitsandscoping/pricingscaffoldingworks.
