Andres Crespo Vieira has been working both in the Department of Pharmacology and the
Department of Anatomy from October 2010 to July 2015. He did the PhD thesis with us, and
I was one of his codirectors. During his staying in my research group he was able to
efficiently learn all procedures involving usual laboratory tasks. He actively participated in all
experiments carried out in our laboratory. Acknowledgement to his contribution is the fact
that he was the first author of four papers (three of them have been already published and
the last one is under revision), and helping in the redaction of two chapters of a book related
with marine compounds. During his staying he was able to improve his knowledge
participating in diverse scientific congress and he was able to collaborate with his workmates
in several research lines (as it can see in his publications as coauthor). The final result of his
PhD period was the realization of his thesis, obtaining the highest qualifications. Andres is a
very able and productive scientist, and I am willing to provide any further information you
require.
I therefore recommend him as a postdoctoral fellow.
