2. INTRODUCTION
• The film ‘’Immersive Theatre’’ is a mix of drama, thriller and
comedy but it mostly uses thriller elements. The story about a
banker whose life changes strongly after meeting the stranger
in a café. After the accident (being hit into his hand) he
discovers that his girlfriend is kidnapped and he goes into a
dangerous journey
3. SYNOPSIS, PART 1
• Main hero Richard Mason works as a banker, age 30-35, lives
in Kensington, London and has a girlfriend Georgina Hetfield.
In a café a stranger sits next to Richard and starts a
conversation in which he tells a main hero his name, age,
place where he lives etc. so he knows almost everything
about Richard. The stranger asks to come and see him in his
free time and gives Richard his phone number, after that he
leaves.
4. SYNOPSIS, PART 2
• Richard and Georgina enter the stranger’s house and meet
him. He introduces himself as Norman Rourke. After a
conversation about what happiness is Norman says that
Richard earned 1 million pounds and introduces suitcase to
him. Both Georgina and Richard are shocked, say goodbye
to Norman and go back to their house.
5. SYNOPSIS, PART 3
• After a couple of hours someone knocks the door and when
Richard opens it another stranger appears and hits him in his
head. Richard loses consciousness. After waking up alone he
tries to call Norman for help but instead him a stranger who hit
Richard into his head answers, he asks to call him just Sam. He
says that Norman is dead and Georgina is still alive so if he
wants to have her back he has to do some tasks for him. Richard
goes on a dangerous journey
6. CHARACTERS: RICHARD MASON
• Main hero who works as a banker, his age is somewhere
between 30-35, lives in London. Ambitious, serious, looks
for anything that brings him a benefit so before the action
starts and before his meeting with Norman in a café he is
introduced as a man who can sacrifice others’ interest for
earning money. He explains that money is one of the paths
that can lead to happiness to afford you things which you
enjoy. So he can be called an antihero. But starting from Act
2 he will face the situations which will begin to change his
worldview and in the end of the film him in the beginning
and him in the end are two different persons
7. CHARACTERS: NORMAN ROURKE
• A wealthy aristocrat at the age of about 55-60 who met Richard in a café
and gave him a suitcase of 1 million pounds. Maniac Sam says that he’s
been killed, but as later discovered, he’s still alive. His aim is to do the
social experiment and to proof if Richard really loves Georgina and is
ready to sacrifice his own interests to save her
8. CHARACTERS: SAMUEL DALTREY (OR JUST MANIAC
SAM)
• A bandit who noticed Richard and Georgina carrying a suitcase
of money and he’s the one who stole it with Richard’s wife and
he’s the one who sends Richard missions to do. As discovered
in Act 3, he worked on Norman Rourke all this time and said to
Richard on telephone everything Norman asked him to
9. GEORGINA HETFIELD
• Richard’s girlfriend. She loves him very much but at the
same time she sees some bad characteristics in him but
she believes that he can be changed. As discovered in
Act 3 she’s the one who had an idea to change Richard
so she gave all the information to Norman who’s her
father’s best friend. That’s why Norman knew everything
about Richard when he talked to him in a café
10. SHOTS
• Because main hero will do many tasks which Sam
asks he will do a lot of journeys so it’s planned to
have many establishing shots e. g. London,
countryside, other cities like Leeds, Manchester,
Blackpool etc.
11. COLOURS
• The colours can represent the mood of character so from
Act 1 to Act 3 the colours can become brighter and
brighter because main hero will understand what true
happiness is
12. MUSIC
• The soundtrack can be from 1970’s glam artists
like T Rex, David Bowie, Queen, Elton John, Mott
the Hoople etc. while main hero is traveling
13. CONCLUSION
• In conclusion Richard finally meets Sam but he hits him
into a head again. He wakes up in his own house and
sees Georgina next to him. Afterwards he sees Norman
alive and Georgina says that everything happened
according to the scenario. The film is a symbiosis of
films like ‘’The Game’’ (1997) and ‘’The Truman Show’’
(1998) where a character doesn’t know that everything
that happens to him is a script. That’s why the film is
called ‘’Immersive Theatre’’-a theatre in which a viewer
also participates in story. Richard hugs Georgina in tears
and says that he understood what a true hapiness is
