• Lulu is a girl who likes to laugh!
• She’s the Main Character
• She’s has a secret Hunger Monster that follows
her.
• Lulu wants to beat the Hunger Monster and
help her family get food

5. Hunger Monster
• This sneaky creature who can’t always be seen.
• He waits patiently for someone to be hungry.
• He is devious and tricks people into doing bad
things.
• He knows people are embarrassed because of
him.
• He uses people and it gives him power.

6. Ava
• Lulu’s Best Friend
• Ava cares about Lulu.
• She trys to help Lulu with her food insecurity.

7. Teacher Abidi
• Mr. Abidi is Lulu’s teacher.
• Mr. Abidi does not know at first that Lulu has a
problem with food insecurity.
• He runs the school garden.
• He empowers them to be healthier by involving
them as active participants in that system.
• He tries to fix food hungry by volunteering in a
food pantry.
