Overall Goal of Lesson: Develop in game soccer/ basketball skills, invasion game strategy, and inspire
fitness for a lifetime by introducing students to new recreation ways to get active.
Instructional Objectives:
The student will be able to demonstrate the manipulative abilities of kicking, and shooting in an in game
setting,
The student will demonstrate good sportsmanship by participating, and being a positive teammate.
The student will demonstrate knowledge of invasion game strategy, and spatial awareness by moving to
space on offense, and moving to close space on defense.

SPED- Students will be instructed to play
a cold defense on SPED students

Warmup/ Stretches: jumping jacks, feet taps, skiers,
pushups, setups, feet together, R over L, L over R, arm
stretches.

Explanation/ Demonstration of Game: Boccer Ball- Boccer Ball is a cross between indoor
soccer and basketball. The game starts as soccer and a goal is scored when one team kicks
the ball passed the other team’s goalie into the goal. However, the ball can be lifted to a team
mate and shot like a basketball for two or three points as well. If the ball is lifted players
cannot run only pass or shoot. If for any reason the ball hits the ground its soccer again.
Guided Practice: Students will play the game of boccer ball, but will be officiated, and
assisted as needed with rules/ instructions by teacher.
