The book of Acts is about the origin of the church and the actual biography of the Holy
Spirit and its role in the church. It informs, inspire, protect and punish the thoughts Christian to
greater strength to spread the gospel. It tells the works of the first Christians after Jesus had
resurrected and how the church spread across the world. It also tell of the persecution that the
Christians faced during this time. It tells of the teaching of the apostles and the result of their
work. Even when other religious leaders tried to stop the spread of the gospel, it spread like a
wild fire. Christians struggle and challenges can best be explained by the book of acts especially
on the struggles of the apostles. As Christians, people should turn to the book of acts because it
serves as the guide of Christian life.. The book shows the beginning of the church, the many
struggles the church faced to tell the teaching of Jesus Christ to come alive. It presented the story
of the ordinary sinful people like ourselves, their incredible hardship yet valiantly fought on.
Today, what the apostles accomplished seems miraculous. The book of acts can help strengthen

Christian’s faith and calm their fears as well because it reminds us that we don’t face our
struggles alone. Same as disciples and apostles, Christians as are guided by the Holy Spirit.
Paul’s life up to the point of conversion is filled with wonders that stemmed from the life
of Orthodox Jews. Looking at Paul at the point of conversion, he was blinded by the brilliance
of the light. I wonder what a tremendous change might have happen in his heart. It was not easy
for a fervent Jews to change his faith at a glance. I can ask, what his family, friends, Jews
community and his workmate felt about his change of faith? So complete was Paul’s conversion
that he was able to stand on his faith and spread the gospel. Paul life presents accounts that have
great teaching to Christina. In his account, God takes a man and makes him to live a life of
purpose and service to God. Soul, a man bestirred as the Roman persecutor, living on one side of
continuum, having great rewards in his work, even though what he was getting from the work
was just Christian persecution. Then Gods changes his mind to serve a life of evangelism and
mission for God. If God could use Soul then, a man with a lot of record of Christian persecution,
it makes a lot of sense that God can use anyone to serve his purpose. This aligns with Jesus
Christ final word, “go into the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” In this sense, just like
Saul was called, Jesus called us to live a life of mission for Him. However, living this kind of life
is tough and has many struggle, but with the help of the Holy Spirit, Christians can do it. A life
of mission is a life of being an imitator of Christ’s life; not a hard core evangelism. If God could
makes the heart of Saul, how easy would it to make the hearts of those whom we are preaching
for ready to listen?
The book of Romans is a clearest and most systematic presentation of Christian doctrines
in all the scriptures. It begins with a discussion of what can easily be observed in the world,
people’s sin. The condemnation of all Christians due to rebellion against God. However, because

Christ blood covers us, we receive salvation. Paul’s still urges us after salvation that our pursuit
of God does not stop with redemption, it continues till sanctification is given to all (Swindoll 1).
They teach these issues presents a logical presentation of how a Christian can be redeemed form
the sin. The main idea across the book of Roman is the revelation of Gods righteousness in the
plan for redemption. Because of man’s sin, Paul shows us how humanity lack God’s
righteousness, how God justifies faith and it also demonstrate how a Christian can be
transformed by God’s righteousness. It also confirms Gods righteousness. The outline of Romans
highlights the significance of the book in Christian everyday life. The merger between life and
doctrine illustrate absolute importance of what Christian should believe and thy can live outside
such believes. Paul’s message in the book of Romans is to show Christians that they can only
find freedom from sin in Christ, they are slave to righteousness, God is always there and
Christian belong to God only, hope bring motivation and nothing can separate Christians from
God because they have the spirit within them. God’s mercy is the ultimate, therefore, Christians
should reject the thoughts of superiority. The book of Roman is by all sense written to nurture
and establish Christian’s life of faith marked by holiness and obedience.
The letter of Paul to Philippians is often referred not only as the tenderest letter but also
the most delightful. It presents confidence, expression of praise and rejoicing despite being
written when Paul was in prison. Paul managed to reject anxiety while he was in prison, and this
what marks the passage more encouraging. Paul’s say in the letter that “Do not be anxious about
anything, but everything by prayer and petitions,, presents your request to God“ Philippians 4: 6-
7) This is the most highlighting passage because it communicates that in terrifying moments
Christian faces during crisis. Despite the life of faith being filled with constant obstacles that
request us to risk more to become ourselves, God is always there to stand with us if we submit

our prayer to Him. The letter present a vast amount of love that God provides to Christians.
Christians should have special way of acknowledging anxiety and plead to their despair that they
are not alone. Paul’s letter to the Philippians conveys a powerful message concerning
contentment secrets. Despite Paul facing severe hardship, beatings, poverty, illness, and even
being imprisoned, he has learnt that in every circumstance, Christians should learn to content.
The source of contentment is knowing Jesus Christ (Fairchild 1). However, when Christians
begin to feel false guilt over anxious thoughts, it does not help them do what Paul has proclaimed
in the book. Paul’s most concerns is to call Christians into faith and prayer.
