Dear reader,
I'm writing this letter as Director of Business Development and Innovation of Siza. Siza is a non-
profit organization for long-term care with a focus on people with a disability. Siza is well-known in
the Netherlands as one of the most innovative health care organizations.
We have been working with Andrew Amiel and MediSens since July 2015, when they were
introduced to us by Maarten den Braber, Rockstart Digital Health Program Director. The MediSens
project answers to one of our long-standing questions to improve the quality of our care with
regards to people with the burden of incontinence.
It was great for our team to be able to have a direct conversation with the MediSens team early in
the process, as they took the time to visit our premises in Arnhem and ingested the information
about our way of working and the characterization of the people we take care of.
This relaxed and open way of working has continued ever since, and with a good intermediate role
played by Andrew. He has presented himself in a professional and open way, always available and
eager to understand our way of working to ensure smooth operations. And that includes meetings,
contract negotiations, pilot project set up and the project itself, including the wrap up afterwards.
As the project with Medisens, including the work done by Andrew Amiel, went very well, a
trustworthy base was laid out. Therefore in my belief it is logical that we are considering becoming
one of the first customers in Europe. We are preparing to start a second and larger trial. In this
trail we are going to test whether the product adjustments fit our patients needs.
All in all, I am more than happy to recommend the work done by Andrew Amiel to you, as his
effort, his professional appearance and calm and steady way of working will bring the result you
are looking for.
