Engineers' Week is a two-week celebration at the University of Florida hosted in February to coincide with the national Engineers' Week. Currently standing as the largest event hosted by UF's College of Engineering, the celebration annually hosts approximately 15 events ranging from professional and educational to entertaining and outreaching. The planning process consisted of 50 directors and assistant directors who planned collaboratively over the course of 6 months. The events cater to university students and individuals not directly affiliated with the university.

• Goal: To be the ultimate test of knowledge and a social, competitive event
with the same aesthetic as the Jeopardy! show.
• Engineering Knowledge Bowl is a Jeopardy-style trivia tournament.
• Competing teams will comprise of 5 individuals representing their STEM
organization.
• Student teams must participate in the preliminary exam hosted on February
5th at 6PM at Turlington L007.
• Competing teams are chosen using the results from the preliminary exam,
which consist of questions similar in content to the knowledge bowl.
Preliminary exam will be administered 2 weeks prior to the knowledge bowl.
• Knowledge Bowl consists of 4 rounds total.
• Intermission will allow audience and participants to get refreshments.
• A brief awards ceremony will close the event.

• Goal: Focuses on educating all students about the engineering profession, the
path to become an engineer, and examples of leadership development on the job.
ELF aims to reach these event goals by inviting 4 distinguished faculty members
and 7 companies to interact with UF students in a business casual setting.
• Sponsored by Harris Corporation.
• Prior to the event, small hors d'oeuvres (Classic Fare) will be provided for all
attendees to enjoy, and will be available throughout the event.
• Corporate representatives will be allotted a half hour presentation about their
career and leadership development, followed by a question and answer session
from the students.
• Panel of faculty and corporate representatives will be held to compare the various
engineering experiences, encouraging group discussion from the audience.
• Networking session for all students to meet and discuss further curiosities with the
faculty and corporate representatives.
• Provide all the attending students’ resumes on a disk for the companies to accept
at their leisure.
