We have helped many organizations apply neuroscience insights to improve performance, motivation, and employee well-being through various training programs. A global charity saw positive results after a 9-month training initiative introduced strategic and behavioral changes to better capitalize on volunteer motivation. A utilities company transformed a typical customer service training by viewing it through the lens of brain science, making the content more engaging. Feedback from program participants consistently reports increased knowledge, ability to apply lessons, and achievement of business objectives.

Why Neuroscience 2
1. How have we helped organisations
use neuroscience?
Trainings & Case studies
2. Did you know your brain loves humour?
Having a giggle can release dopamine
Which can make it easier for you to focus
3.
4. Motivation
We worked with a global charity over 9 months to
help them understand why efforts from their huge
volunteer workforce was sporadic.
Through training and consulting we introduced several
key strategic and behavioural initiatives to address the
human motivational needs that were not being
capitalised on.
Case Study
“The feedback from the volunteers was completely positive. Your method of delivery matched the high
expectations I had, you were able to engage people, to energise them and to inspire people with being
able to present simple solutions to big problems we have.” - Miguel Cabral – Regional Coordinator
for Europe for IFMSA

6. The entire Synaptic Potential
curriculum is endorsed by
Bangor University and our
partners the Wales Centre
for Behaviour Change
Carl Hughes Director of the Wales Centre for Behaviour Change at Bangor University says:
“Bangor University’s “Wales Centre for Behaviour Change” is proud to partner with Synaptic
Potential because the trainings we deliver to organisations get exceptional feedback. Our unique
blend of science, practical applications and innovative training approach means that participants
can:
•benefit from what can be a tricky field to navigate alone;
•apply their learning directly to their work remit;
•learn how to be happier and more productive thus helping their
organisation reach their business outcomes and objectives.”
7. Organisations often reach out to us to get the edge in
how they train their leaders. They normally have something in
place but are seeking better results.
We run a 3 day Neuroleadership
programme teaching:
- How people’s brains work
meaning you can lead them more effectively
- The 7 insights from neuroscience that should directionalise
your focus as a leader
resulting in you getting far more engagement
- Activities based on the insights to do with your teams
giving you practical ways to implement what you learn
8.
9. Loyalty
Loyalty can be very effectively created between
organisations and employees too. We have trained several
organisations in components of neuroleadership. Challenges
they had been experiencing link to high staff turnover,
disengagement and negative talk within teams. The area of
contribution is easy to implement quickly. Companies with
big workforces in factory or workshop environments have
found this especially impactful.
Case Study
“Amy is a superbly engaging trainer who uses fun and innovative ways to train. Katie Bard worked
with Amy on a specially designed session for our team and she had really done her research to
understand the core principles and ethos behind what we do and how we operate as a recruitment
business to ensure these we promoted throughout the session.” Katie Bard – Verity Stokes

11. Low levels of engagement, undesirable behaviours
and managers feeling at a loss triggers companies to talk to us
about the science behind how people behave.
We run a 2 day Organisational Behaviour Change
programme teaching:
- Insights into how we are motivated, make decisions, and act
giving you the tools to design and increase likelihood of desirable
behaviours
- Building an effective working environment
resulting in more people more easily doing what they mean to do
- Designing behavioural architect interventions
equipping you to support your colleagues
12.
13. External Communication
We worked with a large utilities company training, in
partnership with another training organisation, their
customer service teams. A ‘normal’ customer service
training was transformed by looking at everything
through the lens of the brain. What could have been a
familiar, and perhaps boring, topic became fresh,
exciting and engaging for attendees.
Case Study
“Participant feedback scored content as good at 89% and content at the right level
by 88%” - Jo Higton, Customer Plus
14.
15. Negative attitudes, poor performance and simply
wanting good teams to be better are common reasons we are
called upon.
We run a 2 day Positive Psychology training:
- Strengthen your organisation
see people behave differently as a result of their thoughts
- Explore the latest insights from this field including building
resilience & flexibility
feel confident in the minds and behaviours of employees
- Managers become equipped to get the most from their teams
everyone enjoys the process more because they are doing things that
actually work
16.
17. Time management
We have worked with many MDs who were struggling
with fitting everything into a day. Teaching them about
monotasking and the needs of the prefrontal cortex
(area of the brain responsible for all executive
functioning) saw new behaviours put in place. By
sharing this scientifically underpinned toolbox the
reports from these individuals is that they have
regained control over their work day.
Case Study
“The session explored aspects of the brain and how, by understanding how it works, we can all be
more successful at work or at home. Her personal style was enthusiastic, energetic and expert.” - John
Watkinson, leader of CEO group
18.
19. The benefits of mindfulness are now well documented and
publicised and organisations look to us to provide credible,
reliable training for their teams.
We run a 4 part training in ACT & Mindfulness:
- Rewire your brain to work more effectively
enjoy sharpened cognitive functioning
- Experience mindfulness and the benefits it delivers
lowered stress and irritability, improved memory, more fulfilling
relationships, improved immune responses
- Employees feel that they have been given a gift
and therefore grateful to their organisation for providing this
20.
21. Internal Communication
We ran a case study with a UK restaurant chain
looking at communication between area managers and
restaurant managers. This utilised a few classic
behaviour change techniques, but not as many as we
would have liked. The results clearly showed the L&D
manager that more engagement was required and that
the RMs had too much on their plates.

23. Sustainable productivity is the aim of many leaders who reach
out to us. Knowing what is actually going on inside their heads
and how they can work best with that is a ‘no-brainer’.
We run a 1/2 day ‘Make Your Brain Work’ session:
- Programme your brain to enjoyably get things done
making people substantially more efficient
- How to deal with overwhelm
free yourself from that dreaded time zapper
- Regain control
reducing the biological response that eats away at productivity
24.
25. Model Employee
At Bangor University we ran a taster day for local
businesses who wanted to learn more about how to
get the most out of their employees. 100% of them
wanted to continue their learning. Mindfulness and
ACT were surprisingly popular (for the industries
present) as ways to give more to and get more from
employees.
Case Study
100% of attendees would recommend the day to a friend. Comments included “Good speakers.
Interesting content.” “Interesting and informative day.” “Frederique’s delivery & enthusiasm was
great. Content useful.”
26. Let’s talk about how to start creating
your scientific success story
