What if you weren't limited to what's on suppliers' collections (ours
included...)? Now you aren't. Whatever amazing design idea you have in
your head  we can make it real.
Custommade tiles in 5 easy steps:
1. Let your imagination go wild.
We'll be happy to discuss with
you any idea you can express
visually, even on a
coffeeshop napkin (although
we prefer a 3D graphic file...)

2. After formalising a concept
we will swap drafts until we
reach the desired outcome.

3. Once a design has been
agreed we will start planning
production. This is an internal
process that will result in a
prototype.

4. That's the moment of truth
you'll see the final product, be
able to hold it and feel it in
real form. If you are happy with
the result it's on to
production. If not  it's back to
the drawing board.

5. Now the burden of proof is
on us but since we've done
this numerous times we're not
worried. Neither should you
be.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How long does it take? Well, we only control the parts of the process that we do.
Producing a prototype takes around 3 weeks and tiles production will take 46 weeks,
depending on the quantity and budget. We can increase the number of molds to reduce
production times.
2. How to transfer ideas and plans? Initial ideas can be sent even as a sketch drawing.
Executable plans should be in a 3D CAD file.
3. Are there any design limitations? Absolutely not. We have already made products that
had appeared to be totally absurd on paper but some issues should be considered:
○ Size: There’s no problem to manufacture giant tiles but one has to consider the
weight. a 100cm*100cm*2cm tile weighs ca. 50kg and will require proper lifting
and anchoring means. One of the advantages of custommade tiles is the ability
to use a visual element to create repetitions and have an array of smaller tiles
look like a large single unit (see TryAngle for example).
○ Colour: We use inmix pigments that allow us to create a wide spectrum of
colours. Given enough time (and budget) we can reach a specific Pantone but a
close match can be produced quickly and without any special expenditure.
○ Texture: Flat tiles can be Smooth, Crumble or Rough (see Textures and Colours
page).
○ Reliefs and imprints: We can make tiles with paperthin or substantial reliefs or
imprints.
○ Minimum order size: There isn’t one but due to high production and shipping
costs the larger the order, the lower the unit cost.
4. Is a prototype chargeable? Yes, but if an order is to follow, the prepaid cost of the
prototype is deducted from the final bill.
