In 2009, Samsung Electronics announced its ambitious
“Vision 2020” with a set of specific goals under the
slogan “Inspire the World, Create the Future.” What
does that mean?
Qualitatively, it means becoming an innovative company;
a respected company; one of the top 10 World’s Best
Workplaces; a creative leader building new markets; a
global enterprise that attracts the world’s best talents.

In the theory of planning, commitment to goal is the next
step in making a good plan.
Samsung follows this and proclaims that the commitment
for the 2020 goal is to inspire communities around the world
by developing new technologies, innovative products and
creative solutions.
They are directly related to the goal because inspiring
they push Samsung’s workers to inspire and create better
futures by developing better products, in the process of
doing so achieving 400 billion revenue and developing 5G
network.

Plans
Samsung has been successfully executing its plan of
sustainable growth and profitability, especially in six
selected core areas to secure new growth engine: Capital
expenditure (Capex), R&D, Patents, Marketing, Human
resources, and M&A. However, what most stands out is
their change in direction of future R&D.
Flexibility
Finally, maintaining flexibility is not the least essential in
planning. Samsung has adapted this by setting several
goals which it will try to get. Although not all of the goals
will be done by the year 2020, Samsung might be pushed
to achieve at least 75% of the goals.

Samsung electronic management’s managers use this theory to
motivate the employees to abide by the rules of organization. The
employees who fail to abide by the rules will be punished in the form
of threats, docking salary or suspension.
The employees who abide by the rules will be rewarded.

Samsung managers and organization both focus on the innovation.
Samsung managers base there goals, desire and culture around the
employees. The organization focus on that the employees are happy
so they can bring new ideas.
CONTOLLING
Establishing Goals and
Objectives
In 2016 the Samsung goal was to introduce the latest technology in smart phones
through Samsung note 7.
Actual performance
After manufacturing when note 7 launched the most customers face the
problem of overheating.
Compare performance
with Goals
Although the other features of note 7 were fabulous but the actual performace
does not meet the demand of goals and abjectives.
Corrective action
After the overheating battery problem the samsung announces that the
batteries should be checked 8 times before the launch of any smart phone and
after 2016 this problem has finished.
Suggestions
 The film revolves around two corporate giants who
compete in order to recklessly maximize their
respective profits.
 Based on the 2003 pesticides issue in India.
 The film shows the dirty juncture of business and
politics and unveils the games which the men in
power play to remain on top, and how it affects the
common man.
 The only film in this list with a negative message,
‘Corporate’ should be watched to know the dark side
of doing business.

Action Plans Samsung has been successfully executing its plan of sustainable growth and profitability, especially in six selected core areas to secure new growth engine: Capital expenditure (Capex), R&D, Patents, Marketing, Human resources, and M&A. However, what most stands out is their change in direction of future R&D. Flexibility Finally, maintaining flexibility is not the least essential in planning. Samsung has adapted this by setting several goals which it will try to get. Although not all of the goals will be done by the year 2020, Samsung might be pushed to achieve at least 75% of the goals.
  • 21. Leading Reinforcement theory Samsung electronic management’s managers use this theory to motivate the employees to abide by the rules of organization. The employees who fail to abide by the rules will be punished in the form of threats, docking salary or suspension. The employees who abide by the rules will be rewarded. General Administrative theory Samsung managers and organization both focus on the innovation. Samsung managers base there goals, desire and culture around the employees. The organization focus on that the employees are happy so they can bring new ideas.
  • 22. CONTOLLING Establishing Goals and Objectives In 2016 the Samsung goal was to introduce the latest technology in smart phones through Samsung note 7. Actual performance After manufacturing when note 7 launched the most customers face the problem of overheating. Compare performance with Goals Although the other features of note 7 were fabulous but the actual performace does not meet the demand of goals and abjectives.
  • 23. Corrective action After the overheating battery problem the samsung announces that the batteries should be checked 8 times before the launch of any smart phone and after 2016 this problem has finished.

Suggestions  The film revolves around two corporate giants who compete in order to recklessly maximize their respective profits.  Based on the 2003 pesticides issue in India.  The film shows the dirty juncture of business and politics and unveils the games which the men in power play to remain on top, and how it affects the common man.  The only film in this list with a negative message, ‘Corporate’ should be watched to know the dark side of doing business.
