The grudge/The ring. Young ‘dead girl’ killing because of previous trauma in
life.
Structure/Scenes to include
Murder scenes, discovering the room, trailer should also show the character
Natalie sensing some form of presence within the college. Natalie becomes
somewhat of an outcast trying to find the truth so this should be visible in the
trailer.
Generic Conventions
Typical of horror trailer, search for the truth and shows murders and certain
glimpses of discoveries along the way. Victims are teenage girls.
Characters/Stereotypes
Natalie – agitated and fragile yet also strong, trying to get to the truth. Typical
elements of a protagonist.
Victoria – Evil, cannibalistic, fearful to viewers.
Brief intro to Jade who is the first to be killed.
Settings/Locations
Basement of the college primary location for ‘evil.’ Where the room will be
found. Stereotypicvally eerie, quiet, creepy. Natalie also to be filmed, feeling
followed and disturbed at hopme outside of college.

Props/Costumes
Bags belonging to missing people being found. Ghost of Victoria show to be
wearing some kind of bloodied gown. Computer vital to show natalies
research.
Cinematography/Lighting
Quite a dark lighting in the college, sense of oppression and evil. Shroudy and
quick black shot changes (as seen in scream 4 horror trailer.)
Use of Sound
Eerie. Wind whistling and such, moans and screams possible and option.
Climatic sounds when Natalie is dreaming of the murders that occurred.Non-
digetic.
Editing and Effects
Fast shot changes, quite a lot to be included.
Title screens/Typography
3 or 4 throughout the trailer giving the viewer more detail as to what the film
entails. Black white and red.

Film typically aimed at teenagers seeking a thrill. Strong sense of threat
