Dear Gabrielle McPhee, Amber Beaumont, and Brian Ahart:
Thank you for your time and all of the effort you put into your proposal. The entire class seemed
to be inspired as the competition was complete with great ideas and each was followed by a fine
presentation. That is why I am very delighted to inform you all that Mental Health America of
Dutchess County has accepted your proposal. Your main objective and concept, to implement an
unpaid internship at MHADC in order to enhance inter-office communication, is prescient, a
must have for any organization our size.
The other objectives could stand on their own as well; to enhance our online presence is a must,
and the excellent traditional marketing idea to publish an attractive newsletter/poster on
community boards. The most important aspect of these objectives is the feasibility and scale,
each can be implemented right away and with broad reach. Plus as a bonus, as you mentioned in
class, the position held by the intern would enable us to implement goals from the other
proposals that were submitted.
I applaud you all for going above and beyond expectation in formulating and presenting your
proposal. The evidence is not only within the idea and pages but in the follow up meeting to the
tour, your smooth and energetic presentation, your response to questions. Your overall
professionalism on display throughout the process did not go unnoticed.
Thank you again for all of your hard work. I do hope you will all continue to carry a passion for
mental health matters with you all through your future careers. I very much look forward to
continuing to work with Marist on implementing this proposal and each of your objectives.
