3. Getting Ready
Many accidents that happen to people often happen when they are on the road. That is
why we should always keep ourselves safe when we are outside our house and are on
the streets. One way of keeping safe is by following road safety rules.
Here are a few basic road safety rules for kids that you can begin with.
1. Know Your Signal
2. Stop, Look, and Cross
3. Pay Attention- Listen
4. Don’t Run On Roads
5. Always Use Sidewalks
6. Crossroads and Pedestrian Crossing
7. Never Stick Hands Outside The Vehicle
8. Be Seen, Stay Safe
9. Don’t Rush
10.Never Cross Road at Bend
4. Learning What is Good
As we grow older, we spent more time outdoors that indoors. Right now, we go to
school and spend time with our friends outside the house. After some time, we
will become adults who go to work and do other things that require us to travel
far. The roads and streets become familiar to us and make us feel at ease. The
sights and sounds on these roads and streets make us feel at home. However,
these roads and streets are not as friendly as we think they are. Many accidents
and other unfortunate events take place on them. If we are not careful, we may
get involved in one of these events. Roads and streets can be quite scary if not for
the safety rules and signs that adults have set and created. These road safety rules
and traffic signs are our real friends on the road. If we follow them, we can return
safe and sound to our loved ones.
