Senior Designer Role—Manage inhouse designers and freelancers to create the best design possible while
meeting our time lines. Teach and train designers how to design formats and apply art to the format that can be
produced into a usable product. Manage EPP (electronic pre-press) trainees on how to create proofs, set up files
for production, and send out job packets overseas for production.
Designer Role—Design templates for 3D gifts and 2D gifts which include mugs, tea sets, ornaments, frames,
jewelry, magnets, plush, journals, gift bags, and gift wrap. Create designs incorporating art and typography that
both appeal to the customer and marry well with the format. Familiar with various finishes and how to apply
the art on both hard and soft line materials which include ceramics, resin, glass, MDF, metal, canvas, and various
fabrics.
Electronic Pre-Press and Production Role—Specify how art will be applied to the format and materials used
to create product. Incorporate UPCs, copyright information, legal information, and country of origin on
products. Create line boards and color proofs to be sent out in job packets for production. Proof colors and
make adjustments on materials based on cost on sample productions. Visit factories in China to make product
adjustments to match proofs.
Packaging Role—Decide type of packaging for each product based on cost and shipping. Create graphics that
coordinate and compliment the product best.
