• Golden Key International Honour Society- Inducted Fall of 2013
• American Mock Trial Association- 2013/2014 school year is the first year for AMTA at WIU. My
role is as the closing prosecutor.
• Phi Theta Kappa (Two-year College Honor Society) Alumni Association President- Worked with
the Centennial Honors College Director to charter an alumni association at WIU. It will give the
3. university an opportunity to recruit top transfer students from two year colleges, present them with
what WIU can offer them, and help them with transition into WIU life.
• Phi Alpha Delta-
o Secretary- Note taking at meetings and then dissemination via email to all members. Was
the contact for all questions, and the bridge between the members and the executive board.
Took a key role in coordinating the travel and itinerary for the 2013 pre-law conference in
Washington D.C.
o Mock Trial Team Member- Competed at the pre-law conference in Washington D.C. in
November of 2012
• Model Illinois Government- Was the first WIU team to make it to quarter finals for Moot Court in
February of 2013.
COMMUNITY SERVICE/VOLUNTEER
• SERVE Committee member for GEN U– GENeration United (GEN U) is a group of emerging leaders
partnering with the Heart of Illinois United Way to engage in meaningful activities that address the needs
of our community and support personal and professional development. SERVE is the committee that
organizes the monthly volunteer opportunities by connecting with partner agencies.
• Mad Dash Committee member for GEN U- The Mad Dash is a city-wide adventure and the largest
annual fundraiser by GEN U for the Heart of Illinois United Way. Teams of 2-4 navigate around the Peoria
area while completing in a variety of competitive challenges against other teams.
• Ambassador for Chillicothe, IL Chamber of Commerce – As an Ambassador I am a social liaison for
the Chamber of Commerce; promote the chamber to the community, help the Chamber board and staff host
special events, and welcome new member to the community.
• Rocky Sunday Funday- I acted as a liaison between Campus Recreation and Athletics. The event was held
in order to introduce our athletes to the Macomb and WIU community. There were games and obstacle
courses set up for children. Kids were also able to pass the football around with the football players, as well
as, receive athletic posters from the teams and have them signed. As the volunteer liaison I was able to
make sure operations ran smoothly between to two departments, help set up meetings, and distribute
information to the correct individuals. While at the event I helped coordinate where the graduate assistants
from Campus Recreation would move to after completing our phase of the Funday.
• Up-Ward Bound- Tutored local high school students in Peoria once a week for the 2011/2012
school year. We also helped to prepare them for ACT testing, filling out college applications,
college scholarships, and deciding the best route for them.
• CCHMP- Carroll County Haiti Mission Project- Traveled to Haiti twice to help with construction
on our medical facility and to start up a food pantry.
