4. Ovarian cysts
Ovarian cysts are increasingly becoming
common in women of all age groups. This
medical condition is quite difficult to
treat because the symptoms associated with it
do not make an appearance until it is too late.
Women with ovarian cysts often suffer from
extreme abdominal pain during menstruation. If
left untreated the cysts can cause infertility
in women of child-bearing age. Hence, it is
important to recognize the symptoms that are
common to the condition and get
treatment for them.
5. Chasteberry For Treating Ovarian Cysts
• Chasteberry is extensively used in the
treatment of hormonal disorders in women.
When taken orally, chasteberry helps in the
proper and normal functioning of pituitary
gland. It also helps balance the level of
progesterone in women. The herb is also
used for treating problems associated with
menstrual cycle like infertility and ovulation.
• Regular consumption of chasteberry helps
maintain balance and accuracy of hormone
levels in the body. Some herbalists also use
the herb for treating polycystic ovary
syndrome, also called PCOS. Women
suffering from PCOS do not experience
regular menstrual cycle which leads to
infertility due to lack of ovulation. Sufficient
dosage of chasteberry, when taken regularly,
helps balance the progesterone level in the
body. This balance leads to regular ovulation
within the female body.
6. Yam For Treating Ovarian Cysts
• Wild yam has plenty of herbal properties
that have been exploited to alleviate the
symptoms associated with ovarian
cysts. It is believed in ayurvedic
science that wild yam helps maintain
balance of hormones that in turn helps
eliminate ovarian cysts. A variety of
Mexicaan wild yam is believed to be a
rich source of phytoestrogen that is very
similar in structure to progesterone but
does not contain the harmful side effects
of synthetic progesterone.
• Wild yam is alkaline in nature and
contains starch and tannins.Wild yam is
mainly available in cream form for
consumption. This is an excellent remedy
for ovarian and breast cysts as well as for
regularizing menstrual flow. Many times
the herb is used in the treatment of
infertility as well.
7. Red Clover For Treating Ovarian
Cysts
Red clover is known to
eliminate the cysts from the
body by acting on the walls
of the cysts. Its herbal
properties cause thinning of
the walls of the cysts. This
causes the cysts to rupture
during the initial days of
the menstrual
cycle.Studies have shown
that red clover may contain
some form of estrogen.
8. Chasteberry (Vitex agnus-casta):
Herbalists have
used vitex for centuries
to restore hormonal
balance. Because cysts
may be caused by too
much estrogen, vitex
helps to bring estrogen
levels back into balance,
which could, in turn,
help prevent cysts.
9. Black cohosh
Black cohosh is used by
Ayurvedic practitioners
in combination with red
clover and other herbs
to help balance
hormones. It is thought
to help restore irregular
periods, which could be
the cause of ovarian
cysts.
10. Dandelion:
Dandelion is a diuretic
that may help cleanse
the liver. This in turn
could help your body
flush out excess
hormones that may be
causing the cysts.
11. Wild yam:
• Wild
yam contains chemicals
that mimic or can be
turned into hormones
such as estrogen. If a
hormonal imbalance is
causing the cysts,
applying a cream made
from Wild Yams may
help to correct the
balance
