-Introduction of committee-Location/Date-Theme: This year’s symposium will focus on the opportunities of supplying urban areas with geothermal energy,- Current status: We are currently in contact with different researchers, companies and ministries to organize the programme during the day. Topics such as the technical challenges will be covered by Witteveen+Bos whereas EBN will discuss the future scenario of the energy mix and what share can be covered by geothermal energy. Also, new techniques and research regarding the geothermal industry will be presented Finally, since the symposium in internationally orientated , we will be having a presentation on the very prominsing data regarding the increase in geothermal energy usage in the city of Munich, presented by a Erwin Knapek from the German Geothermal Association.
The goal of the DAP Symposium is to connect students, research and companies that are involved in geothermal energy on both a national and international scale. Therefore, this symposium reaches out to a huge part of the geothermal energy sector. Would you be interested in contributing to this symposium by the means of sponsoring or the participating by giving a presentation? Or do you just want to know more about the symposium itself?Feel free to approach any of us during the drinks afterwards and we hope to see you all in the Aula on the 12th of March.
We still have some space to include new topics and presentations
