  5. 5. <ul><li>The purpose of an informal letter is likely to be something like this… </li></ul>I heard that you, Nana, have got a very bad cold so I decided to write and see how you are! Dodo your birthday is coming up so Happy Birthday!

I am looking forward to seeing you when you are a lot better. I have my piano exam this Thursday and I know what my piano examiner’s name is, but I have forgotten it. I think it starts with a D.
