T will stick some flashcards of fruit and food on the Bb (vocabulary they already know) and will ask
students to memorize them. Then, she will ask Ss to close their eyes and she will take one
flashcard out. Finally, they open their ayes and have to guess which flashcard is missing?
Comprehension and Clarification: Time allotted: 15 minutes
T will ask Ss to make a circle and sit on the floor. T will show Ss the cover of The very hungry
caterpillar’s book and will ask some questions such as: What do you think is the story about?
What’s this? (pointing to the caterpillar).
Then, she will do shared reading with the story.
Finally she will ask a few questions to check understanding. For example: Was the caterpillar
hungry? (touching her stomach), What did he eat?

Brief explanation: Jquiz activity to check comprehension. T will read the first question and the
options aloud and will give Ss some time to answer and check. When they finish T will repeat the

Activation: 10 minutes
T will write the days of the week (vocabulary they know) on the Bb but mixed up, so Ss will have to
rewrite them in the correct sequence.
Recapitulation: time allotted 10 minutes
T will reread the story of “The very Hungry Caterpillar” but this time T and Ss will do choral
reading.
Activity N°1: Time allotted 7 minutes
