Warmer(3 min)

Teacher is going to activate language by placing the following picture
on the BB. Ss are going to brainstorm about it.
Webquest(30 min.)

Activity Nº1

Name:Freaky Forces of Nature

Type: Pseudo-communicative

Pattern of interaction: Solo

Description:SS will do a reading comprehension exercise. Then they
will do a reading comprehension exercise.
Then, Ss will examine this webpage in order to clarify doubts and know
more about natural disasters in general. They will have to compare
both sources and they will tell in what do they differ.

What’s Next (5 min.)



Ss will discuss if they have ever been or experience a natural disaster.
Lesson Plan 2

Warmer (3 min)

Teacher will ask Ss to brainstorm about the different natural disasters
discussed the previous class in the text they read.



Webquest (30min):



Ss will deal with the webquest. They will deal with Activity 1. Ss will
carry out a research on the topic they have chosen.

Description:Ss are going to do thetaskof the webquestand investigate
on it.

Ss will tell their partners how they felt using/interpreting the different webpages.

Warmer (7 min.)
Teacher will place stickers (with verbs written on them) on the blackboard. Ss will
have to decide whether they are followed by to infinitive or gerund. And they will
have to provide examples.



Webquest(30 min.)
Ss will deal with the second part of the webquest. In this part,Ss will have to find
out and continue doing the Power Point Presentation. They will have to include at
least: a definition of the natural disaster, the causes and consequences of it, what
to do in case they come across it, things to do to prevent it.
What’s next (5 min.)

Ss will discuss if natural disasters can really be avoided and how. What
would they do or propose to do to avoid them as a community.
