 Features  This visa is for points-tested skilled workers who are 
nominated by a state or territory government agency 
 Allows Candidate to live and work in Australia as a

2. With occupation on relevant skilled occupation list 
3. Obtained a suitable skills assessment 
4. Achieved sufficient score in the points test 
5. Nominated by an Australian state 
6. Eligible to apply for this visa if invited

C. Skilled Independent visa (subclass 189) 
 Features  This visa is for points-tested skilled workers who are 
nominated by a state or territory government agency 
 Allows Candidate to live and work in Australia as a 
Permanent Resident. 
 Requirements 1. Not yet turned 50 years of age and with competent English 
2. With an occupation on relevant skilled occupation list
