Introduction and disclaimer
The application tool is designed to be used as a reference document.
The tool aims to provide answers to the various questions relating to industrial
refrigeration system control and design.
In answering these questions, the principles of different control methods are
shown, using Danfoss Industrial Refrigeration products.
It is non capacity and performance related, and operating parameters of each
application should be considered accordingly before adopting any particular
layout.
The application drawings are not to be used for construction purposes.

The KDC valve is force-controlled so that when pressure in the oil separator becomes 2 bar (29 psi) higher than the suction pressure, the spring
is compressed and the valve opens. In low pressure units (boosters), the spring requires a differential pressure of 0.5 bar (7 psi) for the valve to open.
